Proposed extension of existing storage and distribution facility at Nutts Corner Business Park, Crumlin

WELCOME

Welcome to the Online Community Consultation for Bondelivery. This Consultation relates to the proposed extension of the existing storage and distribution facility at Dundrod Road, Crumlin, BT29 4GD. The proposed development is for a new warehouse and integrated offices, with associated circulation areas, boundary treatments and associated works and an overflow car and lorry park. This proposal is urgently needed to improve the operational efficiencies and sustainability of this long-established distribution business.
We are consulting with the local community to obtain initial views on this proposed development to help inform the design process prior to the submission of the planning application later this year.
This Consultation can either be viewed online (from 13th June 2024 to 5th July 2024) or in person on 13th June 2024, at the venue detailed below:

ABOUT OUR PROPOSAL

SITE LOCATION

The proposal relates to the lands located immediately south of no.17 Dundrod Road and approximately 10 north of Bondelivery, Nutts Corner Business Park, Dundrod Road, Crumlin, BT29 4GD. The Nutts Corner Business Park is situated on the western side of the Dundrod Road, Crumlin and lies approximately 0.5miles south of Nutts Corner Roundabout and 1 mile north of Dundrod.

The application site extends to just over 2.5 hectares and includes approximately 1.6 hectares immediately north of the existing Bondelivery facility and a further 0.8hectares to the east within the  Nutts Corner Business Park.  The existing Location Map is included below:

This site is centrally located in Northern Ireland, in proximity to the north-south and east-west axis, accessible from Nutts Corner Roundabout with good links to the strategic road network, making it suitable to provide distribution services across Northern Ireland. The Business Park includes several other commercial and industrial land uses and the Transport raining Services facilities to the north, all of which are compatible to this use.

Bondelivery NI Ltd offers comprehensive logistics services to a wide variety of customers in the UK and Ireland and the business operations include Distribution, Warehousing and Home Delivery. 

Bondelivery NI Ltd specialise in the secure storage and transportation of goods throughout Ireland and the company has identified a need for additional warehouse space to operate more efficiently and grow this distribution business. The company has identified its facility at Nutts Corner, Crumlin as the most suitable location for this investment, owing to its central and accessible location.  Further details about the proposal are included below:

This application involves:

  • New warehouse with integrated staff offices

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

At the end of this consultation period the applicant, Bondelivery, intends to submit a planning application to Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council. In the meantime we are keen to hear the views of the local community and are carrying out this consultation to help inform the design process prior to submission of the planning application later this year.
